Sweden will allocate 385 million Swedish kronor (over $40 million) to Ukraine through the World Bank as winter assistance, according to a statement from the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

“As winter approaches, Sweden is increasing its support to the World Bank’s Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction, and Reform Trust Fund (URTF) by 385 million kronor. The fund helps address urgent needs and strengthen Ukraine’s resilience and long-term recovery,” the statement reads.

The ministry noted that last week, Sweden’s Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Benjamin Dousa, attended the World Bank’s annual meeting, where he met with Anna Bjerde, the Bank’s Managing Director of Operations.
