Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Norway on the morning of October 22 for an official visit. In the capital, Oslo, he met with the host country’s Prime Minister, reports RBC-Ukraine citing the statement of Ukraine’s presidential press secretary, Serhiy Nykyforov.

“I warmly congratulate President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska. Norway supports Ukraine in its pursuit of a lasting and just peace, which the Ukrainian people deserve,” said Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

The visit to Norway is part of Zelensky’s European tour. The details of his meeting with Støre have not been disclosed.

“Norway provides Ukraine with strong and consistent support. It is extremely important to maintain close dialogue with the Ukrainian authorities so that this support meets needs on the ground,” Støre emphasized.

It is known that after the meeting with Støre, the Ukrainian president will travel to Sweden.

Earlier, Zelensky reported agreements with Norway and the Netherlands to assist in restoring Ukraine’s energy systems following Russian attacks.

Norway has also announced an increase in civilian aid to Ukraine in 2026. The funds will be directed toward restoring energy infrastructure, supporting hospitals and schools, providing humanitarian aid, and strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

The Norwegian government plans to increase civilian aid to Ukraine by 15 billion Norwegian kroner, which is approximately $1.73 billion, in 2026.
