According to Fip.am, on October 21–22 in Yerevan, a bilateral roundtable discussion took place, organized by representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani civil society organizations and expert communities, with the support of official bodies from both countries.

During the event, Armenia’s Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan also met with the participants, according to a statement from the Center for Security Policy Studies. Among the Azerbaijani attendees was Dilara Efendiyeva.

Efendiyeva had previously attracted attention from the Fact-Checking Platform since December 2022, when Azerbaijani so-called “eco-activists” blocked the Lachin corridor, which at the time was under the control of Russian peacekeepers. Efendiyeva personally participated as an “eco-activist” in the blockade of the corridor connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia.

At that time, the Ministry of Health of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reported that the blockade by Azerbaijan made it impossible to transfer residents of Artsakh with serious health problems to Yerevan for treatment.

Meanwhile, in a video released in December 2022, Efendiyeva claimed that they were willing to allow a corridor for the proper medical care of Artsakh residents:

“As one of the organizers of this action, I want to confirm that we are ready to provide a corridor for ambulances and medical assistance,” she said.

Fip.am refuted this claim at the time, noting that seriously ill patients in Nagorno-Karabakh were denied proper medical care due to the illegal actions of Efendiyeva and the other “eco-activists” involved in the blockade.
