The issue of passing the so-called “Trump Route” through Syunik is being raised within the framework of high-level Russia–Armenia dialogue. This was stated by the Russian ambassador to Armenia in an interview on Sputnik Armenia radio’s Abovyan Time program.

“This issue, of course, is being raised in the context of high-level dialogue. In any case, this topic cannot go unaddressed. I would like to recall the statements by Armenian leadership that the matter is being discussed only with the United States. But this is an important topic, and it certainly cannot be left out of our dialogue,” the Russian diplomat said.

He also emphasized that Moscow’s fundamental position, voiced at various political levels, is to support any steps that lead to real peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

“As for this specific so-called ‘Trump Route,’ we are waiting for more concrete information regarding its operational details and mechanisms. First, let’s understand what it actually entails in terms of specifics,” Kopirkin stressed.
