Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The call was a continuation of their discussion on October 9 at the CIS summit, the Kremlin press service reported.
“A phone conversation took place between the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, as a continuation of the discussion on October 9 at the CIS summit in Dushanbe,” the statement said.
The two leaders confirmed their mutual commitment to further develop trade and economic ties and to implement joint projects.
Putin and Aliyev also discussed certain aspects of regional cooperation and the international situation, and agreed to continue contacts at various levels.
