As part of his working visit, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Sima Bahous, Executive Director of UN Women (the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women), the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported to NEWS.am.

The sides discussed issues related to promoting women’s leadership and touched upon the steps undertaken by Armenia in this direction.

Both parties emphasized the important role of women in reconciliation and peacebuilding processes between societies in post-conflict conditions.
