The Yerevan-Sadarak railway section along the Armenian-Turkish border must also be unblocked. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this while responding to MPs’ questions during Monday’s joint meeting of standing parliamentary committees — and on the debates on the 2026 state budget draft.

“This should be either an organic start or a continuation of the unblocking of the entire regional infrastructure,” Mirzoyan added.

If the railway passing through southern Armenia is launched, then the railway passing through the territory of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan exclave must also be launched in the same way. Otherwise, as the Armenian FM noted, the logic simply disappears.
