Four buildings collapsed in Balikesir Province, located in northwestern Turkey, as a result of the earthquake, NTV reports.

Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya stated that specialists recorded the collapse of three houses and one building, the latter housing a shop.

According to journalists, there are no casualties. There have been no reports of anyone trapped under the debris.

The report notes that during the earthquake, residents of several neighborhoods left their homes and are now afraid to return. They prefer to stay outdoors in case another tremor occurs.

On Monday evening, a 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey. According to the SHOT Telegram channel, the epicenter was located approximately 10 km from the municipality of Sindirgi. Residents of several cities, including Istanbul and Balikesir, also felt strong tremors. In some communities, there were reports of power and water outages. Emergency services were dispatched to the scenes.
