Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan on Tuesday met with a delegation led by Audrone Perkauskiene, Deputy Managing Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the European External Action Service, and Adrienn Kiraly, Director for Eastern Neighbourhood and Turkey at the Directorate-General for European Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission of the European Union (EU).

The interlocutors exchanged views on the bilateral agenda between Armenia and the EU, welcomed the completion of negotiations on the Partnership Agenda, and discussed the timeframe for its adoption, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

It was emphasized that active political dialogue and high-level reciprocal visits have ensured significant progress in deepening the partnership between Armenia and the EU. Both parties highlighted the importance of implementing mutually beneficial projects aimed at promoting economic and transport connectivity, which could be endorsed and strengthened by the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as by the agreements reached in Washington in August.

Cooperation in a number of domains — in particular, mechanisms for addressing current hybrid threats — was also discussed.
