Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has blamed the Soviet State Security Committee (KGB) for the historical issues between Armenians and Turks, Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova wrote on Telegram.
“The KGB was established in 1954. The Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire began in 1915—almost 40 years BEFORE the creation of the KGB,” Zakharova added.
