As of October 30, a total of 21,916 people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh have applied for citizenship of the Republic of Armenia. Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan stated this during the debates on the 2026 state budget draft of Armenia at the joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly on Monday.

The minister noted that 14,064 of them have already been granted this citizenship. “Through registration, 7,191 minors have also obtained citizenship of the Republic of Armenia,” Sargsyan added.
