Active work is being carried out on visa liberalization with the European Union (EU). Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan stated this during the debates on the 2026 state budget draft of Armenia at the joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly on Monday.

“This week we will finally officially receive the action plan, and the ball will be in the court of the Republic of Armenia,” Sargsyan added.

As the minister noted, this action plan itself is not new. “It includes measures that Armenia’s government has already identified as priority directions for implementing certain reforms,” said the interior minister.
