EU observers will remain in Armenia until the peace agreement with Azerbaijan is signed. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at the international Orbeli Forum being held in Yerevan.

Pashinyan added that after the signing and ratification of the peace agreement, there will be changes in the format, and Armenia will hold more substantive discussions on this with its European partners.

The Armenian premier again highlighted the importance of implementing the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia, Georgia, the EU, the US, China, Turkey, and Central Asian countries. “This is already a guarantee that this project will not only be implemented, but will also become the most successful project in modern history, bringing revenue, security, and stability to these countries,” Pashinyan said.

He stated that the cargo from Kazakhstan will soon arrive in Armenia via the transit route through Azerbaijan and Georgia. According to him, this shows that the unblocking of regional communications has become a reality, and once again expressed gratitude to the president of Azerbaijan.

“By the way, I should say that this decision was not previously discussed with Armenia on this scale. We knew there was an agreement that a train would come, but our understanding was about a single train,” the Armenian PM concluded.
