The question should be addressed to Azerbaijani officials. Rusif Huseynov,  the Co-founder and Director of Topchubashov Center, a Baku-based think tank, told this to reporters Tuesday on the sidelines of the international Orbeli Forum being held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia—as he commented on the Azerbaijani president’s recent controversial statements regarding Armenian names and toponyms.

“But if you are interested in our professional opinion, then I can suggest checking the declaration previously signed in Washington between the two countries. It specifically concerns the mutual recognition of territorial integrity and its inviolability,” Huseynov added.

To recall, Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev on Monday called Armenia’s Lake Sevan “Lake Goycha” and announced the need to settle Azerbaijanis in Armenia.
