Past daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: What should be done with [Azerbaijani president Ilham] Aliyev when he continues to hinder [Armenian PM Nikol] Pashinyan, who is trying with all his might to convince Armenian society that suddenly peace, love, and mutual understanding have been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan?
Speaking on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Aliyev once again demonstrated a peculiar example of Azerbaijani “peace-loving” (…). Just imagine—they are already laying claim to [Armenia’s Lake] Sevan.
And Aliyev always makes such statements. Moreover, his words are still mild compared to those of his team members, who do not even hide their willingness to repeat genocide. The statement about an “Azerbaijani Sevan” was so brazen that even Pashinyan’s close associates and supporters could not ignore it.
Elections are coming, and during that period, it is desirable to appeal to voters. And if suddenly they manage to appeal to more voters than Pashinyan—who has become a hostage of the “era of peace” and is unable to properly assess the words of his counterpart Aliyev—all the better. (…). (…). The era of peace was walking through the country.
