A train loaded with Russian grain (15 wagons) has arrived in Armenia, passing through the territories of Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The lifting of restrictions on cargo transportation to Armenia by Azerbaijan is an important step toward restoring regional communications and promoting economic cooperation, the government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

This represents one of the practical implementations of the agreements reached in Washington, contributing to the institutionalization of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The initiative is also particularly important in the context of strengthening mutual trust and advancing the peace agenda.

Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan stated at the Ayrum railway station of Armenia that in the coming days they expect grain of Kazakh origin—again 15 wagons, totaling 1,000 tons—which is currently located in Azerbaijani territory.
