The prosecutor’s office has initiated public criminal prosecution against Armenia’s third President Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office.

This public criminal prosecution has been initiated under Article 311, Section 4, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Armenia adopted on 18.04.2003, which corresponds to Article 435, Section 3, Paragraph 3 of the current Criminal Code of Armenia.

Article 435, Section 3, Paragraph 3 of the current Criminal Code of Armenia relates to taking a particularly large bribe.
