The Azerbaijani army is being actively modernized and is transitioning to NATO standards, Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev stated during a meeting with a NATO delegation.
According to Aliyev, the Azerbaijani army closely cooperates with the Turkish armed forces in its reform process. In this context, he noted the importance of expanding bilateral relations between Baku and NATO. Aliyev added that the modernization of the Azerbaijani army will continue.
