If Azerbaijan gives its consent, it will be possible to organize a trilateral meeting of the transport ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu stated in a comment to the Turkish bureau of Azerbaijan’s APA news agency.

According to him, holding this trilateral meeting fully depends on Azerbaijan’s position. “We [i.e. Turkey] regularly meet with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev. We have also had several meetings with Armenia’s Minister of Transport. A trilateral meeting is possible only with Azerbaijan’s consent.

If it is given, we are fully ready, since Azerbaijan’s position is of great importance to us,” Uraloglu noted.

The minister added that preparations for the opening of the so-called “Zangezur corridor” are underway at a high level, and “considerable coordinated work” has been carried out with Azerbaijan.

“We have planned in advance everything that will need to be done after the full completion of the peace process. All necessary preparations have been made. In the past, we have implemented many joint projects, so there will be no need to start over,” the Turkish minister said.
