The TRIPP project was created as a result of the Washington peace summit on August 8, and the first action we will take — and we are currently working on it, which should also show how the project will be implemented — is to create a written regulatory basis, so to speak. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated this in his address Friday at the “Crossroads of Peace: Developing Regional Communications” conference in Yerevan.

“In essence, the first phase of creating this basis is the Washington declaration, where the general framework outlined. Next, a joint legal entity will be established by Armenia and the United States, which will be the TRIPP company; finalization of the name is in progress. It will be a company jointly founded by Armenia and the United States, there will be a board of directors that will manage the company. The board of directors will include representatives from Armenia and the United States. Of course, the distribution on the board of directors will also depend on shareholding, which is also currently under discussion. But it is important to record that Armenia will have the right to a decisive vote on matters of strategic importance. This is a very important record,” added the Armenian premier.
