The Republicans are putting in legislation that is very tough sanctioning on any country doing business with Russia, US President Donald Trump has announced, Reuters reports.

“I proposed it, so any country that does business with Russia will be severely sanctioned. We may add Iran to that,” Trump added.

This bipartisan sanctions bill against Russia provides for a 500% US tariff on imports from countries that buy Russian oil, petroleum products, natural gas, or uranium. It also includes sanctions against any country that buys uranium from Russia. More than 80 of the 100 US senators have supported the bill.
