The number of vehicles in Yerevan increased by 12,000 in September 2025, compared to September of the previous year. This was announced at Tuesday’s meeting of the Yerevan Council of Elders by Vazgen Harutyunyan, head of the Transport Department of the Yerevan Municipality.

He noted that throughout Armenia the number of vehicles has increased by 45,000. “Before the increase in parking fees, the number of regular users of private cars exceeded 40,000, but later that number decreased to fewer than eight thousand,” Harutyunyan added.
