President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili met with the visiting President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, the First Channel of Georgia reports.

During their face-to-face discussions, they explored the bilateral relationship between the two countries, as well as the prospects for cooperation across various sectors.

The two leaders addressed current political developments, emphasizing the importance of preserving peace and stability in the region amid a rapidly changing international landscape.

The president of Georgia expressed gratitude for Armenia’s support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

As Mikheil Kavelashvili highlighted during the meeting, Georgia welcomes the initialing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, remains firmly committed to fostering peace and stability in the South Caucasus, and is ready to continue offering support as needed.
