During a meeting with the visiting US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Allison Hooker, on Wednesday, Azerbaijan’s foreign minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, conveyed to Washington that Azerbaijan is interested in accelerating work on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, which “is aimed at ensuring unobstructed communication between Azerbaijan’s mainland and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic,” Azerbaijani media report.
It was noted with satisfaction that agreements were reached during the meeting in Washington on August 8, and the importance of joint efforts to develop the strategic partnership between the two countries was emphasized.
Also, the importance of strengthening cooperation in regional stability, energy security, and the expansion of transport corridors was highlighted.
