Ukrainian and European officials were surprised to learn about the existence of the US’s new plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, according to sources, reports Politico.
US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff began working on the new settlement plan in late October, following a meeting in Miami with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s special envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, Kirill Dmitriev.
For many Western and Ukrainian politicians, this news has raised concerns that the US may concede to Russia’s demands, Politico sources claim.
