The words of Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed to the American famous writer Paul Auster received a quick response.

According to Turkish Hurriyet, in response to Erdogan’s remark that he is not interested whether Auster would come to Turkey or not, the writer aid, “Erdogan can think about Israel whatever he wants, there is a freedom of speech and there are no journalists in prison in Israel, while 100 journalists are in prison in Turkey.

Every country has imperfections, bur for improving the situation you should be able to talk without the danger of appearing in prison. It is a holy law.”

Earlier Paul Auster said he wouldn’t visit Turkey, as there is a lack of democracy and many journalists and intellectuals are in prison.
