US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, will visit Russia next week, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov announced, reports RBC.
“Regarding Witkoff, I can say that a preliminary agreement has been reached that he will arrive in Moscow next week. He and several other administration officials dealing with Ukraine will also be there,” Ushakov said.
Also, US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll will hold talks with Ukrainian representatives.
“Driscoll will arrive in Ukraine this week. We are ready to continue work as quickly as possible to complete the necessary steps to end the bloodshed,” said Andriy Yermak, chief of the Ukrainian president’s staff, reports UNIAN.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced his special envoy’s upcoming visit to Russia. He noted that Steve Witkoff was instructed to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
