Let us hope that after some time [Armenia’s] political leadership will make a balanced decision and we will move forward together. Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) secretary general Imangali Tasmagambetov told this to reporters, according to TASS.

According to the CSTO chief, “the issue of Armenia is raised every time, not only at the meetings of the [CSTO] Collective Security Council and at press conferences; this issue is also on the agenda during virtually every meeting with reporters.”

Tasmagambetov added that “Armenia is an independent, sovereign state and has the right to join certain organizations or suspend its activities [in them].”

To note, Armenia has frozen its participation in the CSTO.
