The European Union (EU) is holding talks with the US, Azerbaijan, and Turkey on possible participation in the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, according to the European Commissioner for Enlargement.

The EU has its own proposals and continues consultations with Turkey and Azerbaijan. US participation is especially important since this project covers only a single railway section, Marta Kos noted.

Earlier, Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmat Hajiyev had suggested EU engagement in the “Zangezur corridor” project.
