The European Union (EU) is discussing how it can strengthen trade links with Central Asia, and Armenia plays a central role in the regional connectivity agenda. The European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, stated this during a press briefing Tuesday after the sixth meeting of the EU-Armenia Partnership Council, in Brussels.

According to Kos, the historic agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington has brought peace to the region and ensured closer cooperation between the parties.

Development in energy and digital technology is very important to ensure economic stability. This is very important for both Armenia and Europe. The EU is ready to help implement the peace agreement and Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace project, said the European Commissioner for Enlargement.
