The Investigative Committee of Armenia informed about the circumstances behind the arrest of Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, Chancellor of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

“During the pretrial investigation of the criminal case, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against the individual under Article 393, Section 2, Paragraphs 1 and 4 (illegal selling of drugs by a group of persons by prior agreement in a public place) of the Criminal Code [of Armenia],” the Investigative Committee told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As reported earlier, Archbishop Khachatryan was arrested a short while ago.
