A future energy corridor between Syria and Turkey, as well as between Turkey and Azerbaijan, could be extremely beneficial, US ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack said at the “Middle East and Africa 2025” event organized by the Milken Institute think tank, APA reports.

He emphasized that Turkey plays a “decisive role for Azerbaijan and Armenia.”

According to the American diplomat, after a peace agreement is signed between Baku and Yerevan, there will be hope for the opening of the Armenia-Turkey border.

“If we extend the route from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, it will make it possible to solve all regional energy problems,” Barrack said.
