Speaking with reporters, speaker Alen Simonyan of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia addressed also the issue of the return of Armenian captives and civilians being held in Azerbaijan.

“We have repeatedly said that we do not speak about this publicly, but the work is done during any meeting—be it a meeting with the Azerbaijani side or international representatives—there is no ambassador, delegation, visit, conversation where there is no point in the conversation about the [Armenian] captives and detainees [in Azerbaijan], as well as about missing persons,” Simonyan said.

He assured that the work in this regard will continue until the matter is fully resolved.

“I see a trend toward a positive solution,” the Armenian NA speaker added.
