As a result of simultaneous police operations, close to forty Kurdish activists were arrested Saturday morning in seven Turkish provinces.

The police operations were conducted within the framework of the KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) affair, Firat News Agency informs.

It is noted that the majority of these arrestees are the Kurdish “Peace and Democracy Party” (BDP) members. Journalists from the Kurdish DIHA News Agency and the Azadiya Welat newspaper are also among those who were taken under custody.
