President Donald Trump considered it possible that the United States could strike Iran again if this country’s leadership does not make a deal with Washington and continues implementing its missile program.
Speaking with reporters at the White House, Trump again expressed the view that it would not have been possible to achieve a settlement in the Middle East had the US Armed Forces not carried out strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan earlier this year.
According to Trump, Iran may try to continue its nuclear program. Iran will spend a lot of time on restoration, but if it wants to restore it without a deal with the US, the latter will destroy it as well. The US can destroy Iranian missiles very quickly, the US president said.
In early November, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had said in an interview with Al Jazeera that his country’s leadership intends to continue enriching uranium for peaceful purposes and rules out the possibility of discussing the future of its missile program. He had noted that no person of sound judgment would agree to give up their military component.
