The declaration signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in August is historic, and it opens prospects for multilateral cooperation in the South Caucasus and beyond. Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated this at the International Year of Peace and Trust, 2025 conference in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, reports Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Tokayev stated that he hopes the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be signed as soon as possible. “We are hopeful for the quick signing of a full peace treaty, which will ensure stability in the South Caucasus,” the Kazakh president said.
