The process of importing Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia is a trade secret, Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan told reporters at the National Assembly on Monday.

“What I have confirmed is that much; I cannot say more. It is a trade secret,” Papoyan said.

During discussions in Doha with Armenian Security Council secretary Armen Grigoryan, Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmat Hajiyev had stated that Yerevan and Baku were discussing the matter of exporting oil and oil products from Azerbaijan to Armenia.

On December 8, Georgia’s Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development had informed that the country would not levy duties for the first transit of Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia.

And Armenia’s economy minister, Gevorg Papoyan, had said that this one-time duty-free transit of Azerbaijani fuel through Georgian territory as a gesture by Tbilisi dedicated to the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
