Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Monday participated in a Brussels meeting within the framework of the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union (EU) member states, at the invitation of EU colleagues, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia.

The discussion, held in a working breakfast format, included EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, as well as heads and representatives of the foreign ministries of EU member states.

The meeting highlighted with satisfaction the significant achievements in the development of the Armenia–EU partnership, and ideas were exchanged on upcoming tasks. FM Mirzoyan highly appreciated the assistance and consensus formed regarding the implementation of the Armenia-EU strategic partnership agenda and various joint initiatives.

During the discussion, EU member countries expressed support for Armenia’s democratic development, strengthening its resilience, and countering hybrid threats.

And in the context of regional developments, EU member countries’ colleagues expressed support for the process of unblocking regional communications and efforts aimed at the further consolidation of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
