Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk is in Armenia, reports Azatutyun, the RFE/RL’s Armenian service.

But there is no official information yet regarding his visit and meetings.

Last week, Overchuk had stated that at some point Armenia will have to make a choice between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union, as it is impossible to remain in both blocs simultaneously.

Separately, Mikhail Kalugin, Director of the Fourth CIS Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, had said Tuesday that the Russian side was ready to consult with Yerevan on the parameters of the “Trump Route” initiative and Moscow’s possible participation in it.

And Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan, had stated Tuesday that there have been no discussions with the Russians regarding their participation in the “Trump Route” project.
