The question of why the names of Armenian servicepersons killed in the 44-day war of 2020 have not been publicized has repeatedly become a topic of broad discussion until recently in the Armenian public domain.
And the Fact Investigation Platform has created a database of the names of Armenian servicepersons fallen in this war. To create this database, data available on the website of the Zinapah Foundation were used.
Accordingly, the number of Armenian casualties listed on this website is 3,246. But the officially publicized number of casualties, which also includes civilians, is 3,833.
The website notes that the photos and brief stories of those fallen Armenian servicepersons who are beneficiaries of the Zinapah Foundation and whose relatives have given consent for publicizing have been publicized.
More than five years have already passed since the 44-day war, yet the names of its Armenian casualties and wounded have not been officially publicized.
The names—in Armenian—of these fallen are accessible here.
