An incident at Brussels Airport complicated the participation of the Slovak delegation in the upcoming EU summit. The aircraft transporting the prime minister of Slovakia to Brussels was seriously damaged and is no longer fit for flight. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico himself informed about this on X.

The damage to the aircraft occurred after the delegation’s arrival at Brussels Airport.

“The demanding summit in Brussels did not get off to a good start. At the airport, a vehicle with stairs damaged our aircraft to the extent that it is no longer airworthy and we have to leave it here,” Fico wrote, in particular.

But he did not provide any additional details about the nature of this damage or the repair timeframe.
