Israel will hardly make any hysteric moves towards Iran. It is less possible, Russian expert on Iranian studies Karine Gevorgyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to her, military experts believe none of the parties has enough resources for war.

“The attack will not lead to desirable results, land operation is necessary. Such an operation would require 800,000 soldiers and preparation for a year, while the U.S. concentrates power just for three months,” the expert said.

As for possible moves of Iran, the expert does not rule out anything. However, it is noteworthy that Iran has not run any offensive wars for 200 years and did not occupy foreign territories. Moreover, Iran has not violated any international conventions since Ayatollahs came into power in Iran. One thing is diplomatic moves, sharp statements, but another is the real actions.

Another not less important detail is interpretation of the Iranian language into Russian or English, as the statements are even more sharpened. Iranians do understand this, there is information war. In addition, it is not easy to deal with Iran, as it has a good air and missile defense systems and the support of China. Besides, the expert does not rule out that developments around Iran may just be a maneuver and the real target may be global East. Iranian conflict should not be separated from universal processes. Superpowers are engaged in a political conflict, Gevorgyan concluded.
