“Thank you very much, Vladimir Vladimirovich, for the invitation. We spent quite a busy two days together, both in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and within the CIS,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg on December 22.

“Of course, very important decisions were made,” he noted.

“In our region, very important and, fortunately, positive events are taking place. I would like to thank you for supporting the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

And as we discussed after August 8 in our phone conversation, the achieved peace opens new opportunities for further development of bilateral relations between Armenia and Russia. And this is already happening, as trains from Russia are now arriving in Armenia via Azerbaijan,” Pashinyan added.
