Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited all Armenians held in Azerbaijan on Wednesday and Thursday, Zara Amatuni, head of communications for the ICRC delegation in Armenia, told Azatutyun, the RFE/RL’s Armenian service.

She noted that the visiting team also included a doctor among the delegates. “According to procedures, during the organization’s visit, as before, this time too, of course, the focus was on health issues, persons, their treatment and conditions of detention,” Amatuni said.

No parcels were handed over by the families, the visit was limited to private conversations with the organization and a general assessment.
