There are no political prisoners in Armenia. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this on the air of Public Television of Armenia.

“For me, as a member of the Armenian government, there is no bishop, no [orchestra] conductor, painter, state official, there is one thing: the equality of all before the law. That is, if a person calls for an armed coup, is it permissible for him to do so because he is a bishop, or an agent, say, ‘He’s a good bishop, it’s okay?’ This is also fashionable, to cover up crimes with imitation of political activity. They didn’t do anything, and we went to catch them?” added the Armenian foreign minister.
