US President Donald Trump on Monday threatened to back another Israeli strike against Iran if it tries to rebuild its ballistic missile program, CNN reports.

“I hear that Iran is trying to build up again, and if they are, we’re going to have to knock them down,” Trump said ahead of a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “We’ll knock them down. We’ll knock the hell out of them.”

"If they will continue with the missiles, yes. The nuclear, fast. Okay? One will be yes, absolutely. The other was, we'll do it immediately," Trump said when asked if he would support Israel's strikes on Iran in case it further develops its ballistic missile and nuclear programs.

It is known that Israel plans to inform the American side about possible scenarios for a second strike on Iran.

Tel Aviv expresses concern that Tehran has begun to restore its uranium enrichment facilities that were damaged by US strikes in June.

Moreover, the Israeli authorities consider Iran’s attempts to resume production of ballistic missiles and repair elements of its air defense system to be a more serious threat.
