More than 10,000 flights were delayed in the US Midwest and Northeast due to bad weather, reports FlightAware.
And 1,900 flights were canceled on Monday and Tuesday morning, according to this aviation portal.
The aforementioned regions were hit by heavy snowfall and gale force winds, the US National Weather Service reported.
The bad weather disrupted other transportation as well in these regions. In addition to large-scale flight cancellations and delays, numerous traffic accidents were also recorded.
Approximately 110 million people were affected by bad weather, NBC reports.
