Turkish Airlines has decided to cancel more than 60 flights on Wednesday due to snowfall in several cities across Turkey, an official company representative, Yahya Üstün, reported.

“Sixty-one flights scheduled for December 31 have been canceled due to deteriorating weather conditions in eastern and central Turkey,” Üstün wrote on social media platform X.

A large part of Turkey has been affected by cold weather since Friday due to cold air flows from Russia and Iceland. Turkey’s Directorate of Meteorology has issued a yellow alert for most of the country on Wednesday due to heavy snowfall.
