BERN. – Armenian community in Switzerland considers inappropriate to comment on the situation regarding Turkey’s Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bagis’ statement and the investigation launched by the Swiss Prosecutor’s Office, head of the Switzerland-Armenia Association Sargis Shahinian said, Radio Liberty reports.

“The Swiss Prosecutor’s Office is very serious for the issue, as it has twice cast verdict against those who denied the Armenian genocide. There is no necessity to interfere,” he said.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am has earlier informed, the proceedings were launched after Bagis had stated in Zurich that he officially denies the Armenian Genocide.
