YEREVAN.- Belgian-Armenian R&B singer Karine Ohanian is going to sign a contract with one of the world’s leading record labels, she told the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter.
“Currently several record labels are being discussed. I will agree to cooperate with the one which will provide the best terms for promotion. I will sign a contract to promote my songs not in local market but internationally,” she said.
According to her, the local contract presents a singer in the certain territory, meanwhile international contract provides for promotion worldwide.
Karine has already preformed with Ne Yo, but the song has not been presented yet. After cooperation with Ne Yo, Karine made a cover version of his “One In A Million” song.
“It is a usual thing to make a cover version of someone’s song. Even Madonna does it. For instance, during her concert in Belgium, Madonna preformed one of the songs of 50 Cent. My managers thought it was good for me to perform a popular song ahead of my concert tour,” she said.
Karine plans to start her tour, as well as release a CD with her own songs, in six months.
